Writing and Formatting

File Format

Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format through the OJS submission system.

Article length / wordcount

Manuscripts should generally be between 4,500 and 10,000 words, including the abstract, references, tables, figures, and appendices. Exceptions may be considered with prior approval from the Editor.

  • Please allow approximately 280–350 words for each figure or table included in the manuscript.

Article title

The title should be concise, informative, and clearly reflect the content of the manuscript.

Author details

All contributing authors must be registered with ORCID and added to the OJS submission system in the order in which they will appear in the published article.’The following information is required for each author:

  • Full Name.
  • Email Address.
  • Designation.
  • Institutional affiliation.

A separate document outlining each author's contribution must be uploaded during submission.

Biographies and Acknowledgements

A brief professional biography (maximum 100 words) should be provided for each author in a separate Word document and uploaded along with the manuscript.

Structured Abstract

All submissions must include a structured abstract with the following mandatory

·        Purpose

·        Design/methodology/approach

·        Findings

·        Originality/Value

The following three sub-headings are optional and can be included, if applicable:

·        Research limitations/implications

·        Practical implications

·        Social implications

The abstract should not exceed 250 words.

Keywords

Authors should provide 3–6 relevant keywords that accurately reflect the subject matter of the manuscript. The Editorial Office may standardize keywords to improve indexing and discoverability.

 

Article Type

During submission, authors will be asked to select the article type that best matches their manuscript.

Available categories include:

  • Research Article Reports original clinical, translational, biomedical, public health, or healthcare research, including:

ü  Experimental or observational studies

ü  Clinical investigations

ü  Survey-based research

ü  Hypothesis testing

ü  Translational and applied research

  • Review Article: Provides a comprehensive synthesis and critical evaluation of existing literature on a specific topic.
  • Systematic Review / Meta-Analysis: Presents a structured review and quantitative or qualitative synthesis of published evidence.
  • Short Communication: Reports significant preliminary findings, novel observations, or concise research outcomes.
  • Case Report / Case Series: Describes unique clinical cases, interventions, outcomes, or observations that contribute to medical knowledge and practice.
  • Technical or Methodological Paper: Describes innovative techniques, technologies, methodologies, tools, or healthcare solutions relevant to clinical and translational medicine.
  • Clinical Practice Guideline Presents evidence-based recommendations for clinical practice, patient management, or healthcare delivery.
  • Editorial / Commentary: Provides expert perspectives, opinions, or discussions on emerging issues and developments in clinical and translational medicine.

Figures

All figures, including charts, diagrams, illustrations, screenshots, and photographs, should be submitted electronically.
Authors should ensure that:

  • Figures are of high quality and suitable for publication.
  • Acceptable formats are JPEG (.jpg/.jpeg).
  • All figures are numbered consecutively (Figure 1, Figure 2, Figure 3, etc.).
  • Each figure includes a clear and descriptive caption.
  • Sources and permissions are provided where applicable.

Tables

Tables should be submitted in an editable Word format and numbered consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, Table 3, etc.).
Authors should ensure that:

Tables are clearly labeled and easy to interpret.

Titles and explanatory notes are provided where necessary.

All tables are cited appropriately within the manuscript text.

 

References

References must be prepared according to APA 7th Edition style. Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of all citations and references.

Research Funding

Any financial support received for the study must be disclosed in the Acknowledgements section. Authors should identify the funding source and describe its role, if any, in the design, conduct, analysis, interpretation, or publication of the research.
